We were loaned Ray Call's war diary by Bubb Lummis. It is full of really interesting historical documents relating to Ray's time with the 34th bomb group in Mendlesham.Ray worked at the radio mast which is now a paddock on a farm in Mendelsham. He was moved from the 490th bg at Eye, and was promoted to Corporal whilst stationed with the 34th.
He enjoyed drinking in the Fleece pub!
